  1. Umm, it isn’t. I’m following XMLTV format (http://membled.com/work/apps/xmltv/ ).

    I don’t care much for this date format either, but XMLTV seems to have traction. I want to make it easy for people to conjure these RSSTV feeds up from publically available program data. IMO that’s an important constraint.

    Some good news is that the XMLTV people are working on a new format which will use mainstream dates. See http://membled.com/work/apps/xmltv/#new_file_format. So we can follow their lead when they switch.

    Some other good news is that this is about as far from set-in-stone as you can get. I like a good debate but I am capable of being convinced. Really.
