The Twitter experience is a lot less exciting with the SMSes turned off — I keep forgetting to go back to the site to see what people are doing — but with the SMSes turned on it’s too distracting.
Ping. Just testing, nothing to see here. Works fine.
Last week this weblog quietly turned four.
Yesterday my daughter, who is now five, came into my office and declared: “daddy, I want to go to a web site.” Mix of pride and terror 🙂
Starting to fool around with Twitter. Had a false start, my phone wasn’t configured for SMS. Moving on to adding friends etc. For now I’m going to leave the phone alerts on, suspect I will be turning it off before long…all thoses SMSes cost money. Which in turn makes me wonder if Twitter’s destiny will be a sale to one of the cellular providers.
RIP Kurt Vonnegut.
