Celery salt. I’m talking about hot dogs here. If you’ve never experienced a “Chicago” dog, try this combination some time: kosher hot dog, heated in a saucepan of water, on a steamed or microwaved hot dog bun (poppy seeded if you can get it), with a couple of pinches of celery salt, dill pickle spear, minced onion and yellow mustard. I’d never bothered with the celery salt until tonight. Big difference, worth the extra step.
